About H&W Welders Football Club

Where it all began...

H&W Welders FC were formed in 1965 after a collection in the Welding Department of H&W's Musgrave Yard, agreed to enter a team into the Saturday Morning League.  The teams first fixture was against Primrose Star FC on the 25th of September 1965.

Blanchflower Park...

In October 2021, H&W Welders FC moved from Tillysburn park into a redevelopment of Blanchflower Park Stadium costing over £5m with 3G pitches and new stands.

Blanchflower Park was officially opened on the 16th of July 2022 by club chairman Thomas Flynn, club treasurer John Davidson, Gavin Robinson M.P, Sonia Copeland & Alderman Jim Rodgers OBE. when the 'Welders' played hosts to Linfield FC in a pre season friendly.

Club Manager...

Paul Kee was appointed H&W Welders FC manager on the 27th of September 2022 after a poor start to the 2022/2023 campaign. Kee steered the club to safety and a strong run of results saw us fighting for a Top 6 finish come the end of the season. The 22/23 season will also live fond in the memories of Welders supporters for the remarkable Irish Cup run where Kee helped the club make history by reaching the Quarter-Final Stage for the very first time beating Irish League opponents Newry City and Glenavon FC along the way.
